• Use a machine, like a BIRRD, to shoot your laser without showing the laser. The BIRRD runs similar to your TV remote, in that you can't see the laser that it shoots out to turn your TV on and off. • Look for the newest laser gun. All laser tag guns are not created equal. Some are older than others, which can mean that they don't shoot or register as well as newer models. If you have the chance to check all the guns, go for the best one. This will be easier if you play in the same arena and get the chance to use multiple guns to compare how well they shoot. 

• Pick the gun with the longest range. If you are more of a long-range shooter than make sure you choose the gun with the longest range laser. It isn't good to camp out in the same location for the whole game because you'll lose out on points or risk being spotted and overrun. 

• Come dressed for the occasion. Since the arena is usually played in the dark, wear dark clothes to further hide from your opponents. New players may come dressed in lighter colors, which makes them walking targets. Darker clothes will also help you blend in with the covers around the arena for further camouflage. 

• Practice your crouch walk. Laser tag was initially created to allow soldiers to practice shooting in a safe way. Similarly, using war tactics like a crouching walk can greatly benefit you during play. Crouching behind covers can prevent your sensors from getting hit as well as keep your location hidden from the opponent. 

Are There Any Other Tips I Should Know About? 

Give your eyes time to adjust to the dark. Don't start the game by shooting immediately after entering the arena. You won't be able to see well or target unless they are right next to you.
