Seattle is known for its beautiful landscape, but not all of us want to hike through the mountains or go kayaking in Puget Sound. We want something closer to home that doesn't require much equipment or planning—and paintball is it!

Paintball is one of the most popular outdoor sports in and around Seattle. It's easy to see why: it's a great way to spend time with friends, get some exercise, and practice your aim! From downtown to the suburbs, there are several indoor and outdoor facilities where you can have fun playing this fast-paced sport.

We've rounded up some of the best paintball fields in the Seattle area and some nearby alternatives worth checking out if you want to try something new.

KC Crusaders Paintball

13241 262nd Ave E,
South Prairie, WA 98385
KC-Crusaders.com

KC Crusaders Paintball field is one of the best paintball fields around Seattle for all ages and skill levels.

Their multiple fields offer a variety of play styles, and the upkeep and maintenance of the fields are on par with industry standards. The wood fields are massive, and the varied terrain makes it difficult for opponents to hide from you. The netting is set up properly around the field, and safety is enforced.

The brand new airball field is the best in the state. It's an 18-foot-tall airball field that allows players to shoot targets using compressed air guns from any angle. This new addition makes KC an even more attractive option for paintballers wanting to practice their accuracy or get some target practice in before hitting up a real game.

Their top-notch customer service makes them a great place to go, not just for rental equipment but also for repairs or upgrades on your equipment. You can rent their mechanic or electric markers at any time if yours needs fixing or upgrading!

The shop has a very good variety of everything and prices are not so high; they carry both beginner's gear and advanced equipment. The only downside is that it can be pretty crowded, so it's not the best choice if you're looking for something more intimate or private.

Paintball Station

19027 Milltown Rd,
Mount Vernon, WA 98273

Paintball Maverick

Paintball Station is a great place to play paintball around Seattle. This field offers a large and spacious playing field, so you have plenty of room to hide and strategize. The playing field includes several games, including Capture the Flag with Juggernauts in bunny ears.

The staging area is mostly simple and easy to figure out, making it easy for new players to get started. There's also a large scenario-type field that's great for more experienced players who want something more challenging than just shooting other players.

This paintball field has an awesome rec ball field with a detailed fortress field. The air fill equipment and staging area are top notches, so you'll never run out of air or have problems filling up your gun before you start playing again. They have awesome rental prices—and you can use your own paint if you prefer.

The only drawbacks are that the parking lot/staging area fills up quickly. Also, games tend to run long—sometimes as much as an hour and a half—which can be frustrating if you're just looking for something quick and casual.

Forest Fire Paintball & Airsoft

17022 Burn Rd,
Arlington, WA 98223
ForestFire.com

ForestFire Paintball & Airsoft is one of the largest outdoor fields in Seattle, with a forested area fitted out with trenches, boats, RV, Hills, barrels, pallets, log forts, and so much more. There's also an urban playing area for some close-quarters action and thick woods to hide in if you want to get some deep cover.

The atmosphere at ForestFire is fun, and the staff is phenomenal. There's low downtime between games, so you'll never have to wait long before getting back into action. The paint and rental gear are on-site, so you can get right into the game without making a special trip somewhere else first (and it's all priced fairly).

The only downside about this field is that I feel it tends to be understaffed in big games—but other than that? This place should be your first stop if you're looking for an awesome paintball experience around Seattle!

Monkey Time Paintball and Airsoft

17020 Burn Rd,
Arlington, WA 98223
MonkeyTimePaintball.com

Monkey Time Paintball and Airsoft are available for private events only, so you can be sure that it will be just yours when you book your group's reservation.

They have a variety of fun courses for all ages and skill levels, including wooded trails and open clearings with man-made obstacles. Their knowledgeable staff is dedicated to keeping you safe and having fun, and they will do everything they can to make sure you get the best experience possible.

You can rent out the field for 1 hour or 3 hours, with 100 or 500 balls included in each package. And if you need some gear on top of that, they have a shop next door where they sell everything from protective eyewear to paintball markers of all kinds.

Operation Paintball

20818 Jansky Rd E,
Graham, WA 98338
Operation-Paintball.com

Operation Paintball is a family-friendly paintball field, which means that you can bring your kids, and they'll surely have a blast. The larger fields mean more room to move around and greater flexibility in playing styles while still feeling like you're in nature rather than being crammed into a tiny room or basement.

They have three courses and a speedball field, so you're sure to find something to enjoy regardless of your skill level. Plus, they have plenty of parking (which is hard to come by in most parts of Seattle).

The refs are great at helping everyone have fun and stay safe, but they also know how to get the most out of their games. They play with the guests on occasion to make things even more exciting!

And if you're new to paintball? Don't worry! They also offer demos before each game so that beginners can learn about proper safety tips and how to fill the air before playing on the course.

The only drawback is that the area to refill your gun is a bit of a walk away down a hill if you use their upper fields—but it's worth it!

DoodleBug Sportz Outdoor Paintball Park

9600 115th Ave SE,
Snohomish, WA 98290
DoodleBugSportz.com

DoodleBug has five different fields to play on, each with a unique strategy and tactics. The well-kept speedball field is great for beginners who want to learn how to shoot straight, but it's also fun for advanced players looking for a challenge.

The staff is friendly and helpful; they'll even help you find your way around their expansive facilities. Multiple woods-ball/scenario areas are filled with bunkers/buildings, trenches, and mounds. Each game lasted about 10-15 minutes, giving players plenty of time to catch their breath between games and enjoy the scenery (and take some photos).

I think this place would be perfect for small group parties! They offer private party rental including guns, ammo, air, and paintballs for ten people plus a setup at a picnic table & private ref.

However, if you go on a day after it rained or a little wet, expect mud and puddles behind common covers. The park has been known to have some issues with gun jamming; however, this can be managed by bringing some extra equipment with you.

Master Blasters Paintball Park

107 Murray Rd N,
Grapeview, WA 98546
MasterBlastersPaintballPark.net

Master Blasters Paintball Park offers multiple different fields with built-up obstacles that make for a very realistic experience.

They also have three different courses for groups of kids to go through, ranging from large, totally wooded courses to close-quarter obstacle fields. The forest is great for light and dark camouflage, so you can sneak up on your opponents.

There are some picnic tables available if you need a break or just want to sit down and relax for a while before heading back out into battle. They also rent camouflage blouses and trousers to get in your car with clean clothes; after all, it is said and done.

But what makes them stand out from other paintball parks is their impeccable customer service—they treat each person like family. They're friendly, knowledgeable about their product, and always willing to help out. And their prices are reasonable too!

JBLM Paintball

Flora Rd,
Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA 98433
JBMLPaintball.com

JBLM Paintball is great for small unit tactics or just a regular paintball game. The staff is helpful and friendly and will ensure you have a good time.

There are multiple cool arenas to play in and multiple options for the game mode you want to play—you can even host your birthday party there. The paint is water-soluble and comes off easily in the wash, so there's no need to worry about staining your clothes or getting them on any gear.

You can also rent equipment if you don't have any of your own—it's all pretty high-quality stuff that will make your experience even better. Plus, if you need some help customizing your training event or birthday party, their owners will work with you to create an experience that fits exactly what you're looking for.
