As a sport, paintball has grown exponentially in popularity over the past few years. A big part of its appeal is that it can be played indoors or outdoors, making it an excellent activity for people of all ages and abilities.
And when it comes to choosing the perfect place to play paintball, there is no better city than Memphis!
The Mid-South is home to some of the best paintball fields in the country, and Memphis is no exception. With various indoor and outdoor options to choose from, players of all skill levels can find a venue that suits their style. From fast-paced games at commercial facilities to more laid-back sessions at local parks, there's something for everyone in the city.
Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned pro, be sure to check out one of these top paintball fields in (& around) Memphis:
Parking lot, 6791 Walnut Grove Rd,
Memphis, TN 38120
The battlefields at Battlefront Lasertag & Paintball are large and exciting, with multiple fields for woodsball and a field with haystack barriers for speedball. The forested areas are full of different hiding spots made of trees, slotted boards, tarps, tires—you name it!
The reservation process was simple and helpful. The field also has plenty of tables that can be reserved for parties. With its own large sun umbrella and a large space for birthday parties, this paintball field is the perfect place to have fun with friends or family.
However, it does get pretty muddy in some areas following hard rain, making it difficult to move around without getting dirty or wet feet.
Additionally, while the website says there are different games played (like capture the flag or king-of-the-hill style games), some players reported they repeated the same game three times, which was boring. Maybe they could rotate games more often!
9640 E Davies Plantation Rd,
Lakeland, TN 38002
If you're looking for a fun, friendly environment where you can play with your friends and family, Paintball Park is the place to go. They are highly recommended for teens and adults alike and have great people who work there that create a fun and safe environment.
They have great prices that are very reasonable and they even give you discounts if you bring a larger group. They also provide various private and joint parties, which allows you to choose from different maps depending on your preference.
Their gear and equipment rentals are also reasonably priced, so you won't have to spend too much money while playing paintball here. This park is very well organized, and there are lots of courses to run through.
12345 Monterey Rd,
Collierville, TN 38017
GAMEHOWSE is a great place to host a paintball event. The owner provided great communication and details for check-in/checkout, so you'll feel right at home when you arrive. And it's just the perfect space for a gathering!
This place is clean, spacious, and well-stocked with tons of games. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful, so even if you're not used to checking into Airbnbs or hotels, this will be a breeze.
If there are any cons to this property, it would be that it doesn't come with toiletries or cleaning supplies—so be sure to bring those along before checking in!
1533 Mason Grove Rd,
Humboldt, TN 38343
If you're looking for a paintball field that is family-friendly and highly entertaining, Zombie Trail Paintball is the place to go. The owner always speaks to everybody and answers any questions, and he interacts with his customers in a very friendly way.
The ride itself is amazing. You get pulled along through a blacklight-target course with some hanging targets and multiple live zombie scenes, all while shooting paintballs at people dressed as zombies. It's great for kids (and adults!) of all ages, and the staff on the ride will autoload your gun when it gets low so you can keep shooting.
The only drawbacks of this place are that you expect to wait in long lines if you go after work or during lunch hours. The lower area of their parking lot also gets a bit muddy after a little rain, but otherwise, it's great!

Rebel Paintball is a great way to spend a day with your friends and family. The facilities are a bit aged, but the course is still fun. If you're looking for something more challenging, try the Hill course: it's especially fun if you know how to flank!
Tournaments are offered approximately twice a year—and there are always special offers on packages for those who want to compete more frequently. Tires and Traffic Barrels scatter this course in a layout reminiscent of Mad Max, but unlike the movie, your goal is not simply survival—it's victory!
The Storm Hill Field features fast-paced paintball games with no shooting or movement speed limits. Players are welcome to bring their own paintballs or purchase them onsite so everyone can enjoy safe play without worrying about running out of ammo during battle.
Rebel Paintball has friendly staff and a safe atmosphere that make it easy for beginners to learn the ropes and more experienced players to keep challenging themselves.
There are many things to consider when choosing a paintball field. The following is a list of some factors that you may want to keep in mind:
The size of the field: You'll want to make sure that the field is large enough to accommodate your group.
The terrain: Paintball fields can vary greatly in terms of terrain. Some fields may be mostly flat, while others may have hills, woods, or other obstacles. Consider what kind of environment you and your group would prefer to play in.
The amenities: Most paintball fields will have at least a few basic amenities, such as a picnic area and restrooms. However, some fields may also offer additional features, such as a pro shop, a snack bar, or a paintball gun rental service.
The price: Paintball fields can range in price from very affordable to quite expensive. Be sure to compare prices before making your final decision.
The location: You'll want to make sure that the paintball field is conveniently located for you and your group. Otherwise, you may have a long drive to get there, which can cut into your playing time.
