Paintball is a great way to get out and have fun with your friends, family, or coworkers. Dallas is known for its entertainment options, and it's no surprise that there are some great places to go paintballing in this city.

If you're new to paintball, it can be hard to know where to start. We've got you covered—here are our top 12 paintball fields in Dallas and some of the neighboring cities you can try for alternative options.

Ascend Paintball

5236 Kiwanis Rd suite a,
Dallas, TX 75236
AscendTexas.com

Ascend Paintball is a great place to go for paintball in Dallas. It's located in the heart of the city, so it's easy to get to by car or public transportation. The paintball zone is really neat—deep in the woods, with obstacles and cool buildings to hide in.

The guns were much better than other places I have been to, and they offer amazing deals on packages—the best you can find in Dallas. They're great for big groups because they have a lot of private areas where you can split off into teams and play against each other.

The instructor explained the game mechanics very thoroughly and made the experience very enjoyable. The paintballs don't hurt much at all, so it's easy to get right into the game.

Cousins Paintball Park Dallas

8975 FM740,
Forney, TX 75126
CousinsPaintball.com

Cousins Paintball Park Dallas is great for families or groups to hang out and have fun. They also have a ton of other stuff to do while you wait for your turn to shoot zombies.

The staff is incredibly helpful and amazing—they're always willing to lend a hand or give you tips on how to improve your game. The refs are lenient and friendly too, which makes it really easy for beginners to get started.

They have good rental equipment available at reasonable prices—a package deal includes masks, goggles, tanks, and hoppers (paintball guns), which makes it easy for new players who don't want to spend a lot on equipment right away. The parking lot is huge, which means it doesn't take long to get in and out of there.

The only drawback here is that it does tend to be a little steep for only taking 15 minutes to go through and having to pay for more paintballs afterward. However, if you're looking for something fun that'll keep everyone entertained for hours, then this is absolutely worth checking out!

Official Paintball

17437 Adams Trail,
Forney, TX 75126
OfficialPaintball.com

Whether you're looking for a field with lots of strategy options or something with an awesome map, Official Paintball has it all. They also have covered areas where parents can relax while they wait for their kids to finish playing on the fields.

The refs here are great, and safety is definitely their top priority. They also have excellent rental equipment that's perfect for first-time players or experienced veterans alike. You can get all sorts of great gear at their shop, including top-notch paintballs and masks that will keep your eyes safe while you're playing.

The only thing I wish they would add is water stations on the course—it gets hot out there, and it'd be nice if they could have a little more hydration on hand. I would suggest bringing your own food beforehand, as you get several breaks in between the plays.

GatSplat Indoor Paintball

4720 Industrial St,
Rowlett, TX 75088
GatSplat.com

GatSplat Indoor Paintball has an awesome indoor location that feels like you're out in the woods, but you'll never get wet or have to worry about getting sunburned. The layout is awesome, with a huge area and enough room to move around and have fun.

If you don't have a large group of people, this is a great alternative to going outside because it's indoors and has good gear that's easy to use and offers plenty of protection (including face masks). The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating—and they also offer good rental equipment at fair prices.

The only downside is that it's pricey for some people, but if you're looking for something fun to do with friends or family members, then it's definitely worth it!

Giant Party Sports Paintball & Airsoft Park

4404 Dillehay Dr,
Parker, TX 75002
GiantPartySports.com

Giant Party Sports Paintball & Airsoft Park is the perfect place for people just getting into airsoft or paintball. The fields are about 50 yards long and 25 yards wide, and there are a lot of speedball fields as well.

The park now has six airsoft/paintball maps to play on (along with the paintball arenas), so you'll never be bored. Professional facilities with so many fields mean you'll never have trouble finding a game going on when you get there—and they can accommodate any number of people playing at once.

They even have air stations on each side, making it easy for quick turnaround. The short game lengths of 2 rounds also mean you aren't going to be spending long periods of time playing a single round.

The only downsides are that there's no shade on the fields, but you can always bring an umbrella if you want one. There are also porta-potties only—no bathrooms—so be sure to use them before heading out onto the field!

DFW Adventure Park

13055 Cleveland Gibbs Rd,
Northlake, TX 76262
DFwap.com

If you're into competitive paintball, then this is the place for you. The DFW Adventure Park has a ton of different fields and great utilities, so you never get bored with what you're playing on. All the maps are fun to play, and there are multiple courses to play in.

The prices are lower than in other places. You don't have to pay extra for "non-players" to watch the games—they can do so at no additional cost. The Zombie Hunt experience is truly unique and perfect for getting people who aren't familiar with paintball involved in the action.

It's also helpful because their shooting fields are open, and the separation between them is great, so players won't be able to accidentally shoot each other or get hit with stray bullets from other players' guns.

They had automatic throwers that functioned correctly; however, they did seem a little finicky when loading paintballs into them (but nothing major). Overall, this is an excellent paintball facility with great amenities!

Fun On The Run Paintball

2621 Roberts Cut Off Rd,
Fort Worth, TX 76114
PaintballFunOnTheRun.com

If you're looking for a kid-friendly paintball field around Dallas, Fun On The Run Paintball is the place to go. This fun park has lots of different fields for different games, including speedball, wooded, castle, city, and more. It also has awesome pricing and multiple courses to play on.

But maybe what's most impressive about this field is the staff. They're friendly, fast, and well organized—and they make sure everyone has a great time playing paintball. They also have a great pro shop where you can buy all sorts of cool gear once your game is done.

The only downside is that parking gets sketchy later in the day (though it's still better than most paintball fields). And there aren't any places for guests to watch—you'll have to stand off-site or in your car if you want to see your friends play.

Madddogz Paintball

2217 Patrick Rd,
Waxahachie, TX 75167
MaddDogz.com

Madddogz Paintball is a great place to go with a large group of friends because there's lots of space to run around and hide from each other. This place is also really close—only about 30 minutes away from downtown Dallas, so it's easy to get there and back without having to worry about traffic jams.

It's also priced pretty well for admission and equipment rental—you won't have to break the bank to get set up and play your first game. They have several different maps to choose from, and you can also rent out their own custom maps if you prefer something specific.

It's also affordable to rent out their picnic area for birthday parties or other events. The picnic areas are shaded, so you can stay cool during your game. They've got refreshments available for purchase, too.

The only downside is that this place isn't super big, so sometimes it gets crowded when there are lots of people playing at once.

Paintball Fit

2217 Patrick Rd,
Waxahachie, TX 75167
Paintballfit.business.site

Paintball Fit is a family-owned and operated paintball park around Dallas, perfect for any player interested in competitive paintball. They offer a variety of options for people of all skill levels, including competitive paintball games, speedball, and recreational play.

The facility and refs are top-notch, and the turf is amazing. It's one of the best-maintained fields in the area, with a staging area that is well laid out. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they'll make sure that you have everything you need before sending you out onto the field.

And on top of that, the service from their pro shop just isn't comparable to anywhere else—they've got everything you need set up if you don't have your own gear. They have three full fields and one recreational field available at all times, so you'll never have to wait around for a space!

Hunt County Paintball

3593 N State Hwy 34,
Greenville, TX 75401
HuntCountyPaintball.com

Whether you're new to paintball or an experienced player, Hunt County Paintball has something for everyone.

Their course is great for beginners who want to learn how to shoot safely and confidently while also being challenging enough for experts who want a challenge. The wooden spools are a fun addition that makes this course stand out from others in the area.

There are many different scenarios in each course, so players can practice different situations. The refs at Hunt County Paintball are top-notch, which means players will feel safe even when things get heated. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

They also have a self-serve air refill station, so you don't have to worry about running out of paintballs during your game. Their rental equipment is well maintained, and their friendly staff will help you get set up and play as quickly as possible.

Blue Line Paintball & Events LLC

Co Rd 2906,
Mineola, TX 75773
BluelinePaintballEvents.com

If you're looking for an adrenaline-pumping activity that's a little bit different from your typical paintball arena, Blue Line Paintball & Events LLC is the place for you.

With three different courses, you're sure to find one that suits you. The courses are spacious and well-maintained, so you won't have to worry about tripping over yourself or getting caught up on obstacles.

The staff is super professional—they want everyone to have fun while they're playing paintball! They also promote a safe environment both on and off the course, so even if you don't know what you're doing, they're willing to coach you through it.

This spacious venue has plenty of picnic areas so you can enjoy some snacks while you watch the games. Their equipment is in great condition, so you can focus on having fun instead of worrying about whether or not your gun will break down during playtime.

Whatz-Up Paintball

700 E Cedar Creek Pkwy,
Seven Points, TX 75143
WhatzUp.net

Whatz-Up Paintball has been the go-to paintball field around Dallas for years. Their professionally designed course is set on over 60 acres of land, and they hold events year-round to keep you entertained all season long.

They have plenty of space so that everyone can play at once, and they've got all kinds of cool courses so that you won't get bored easily. Their prices are so reasonable that you won't have to worry about spending too much time or money.

They also offer private parties and corporate events for groups of all sizes. They have a full staff dedicated to making sure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy our field in a safe and friendly environment. Their equipment is constantly being updated to make sure it's top quality and safe for the customers.

The only downside is that you have to refill your guns every round. But they sell paintballs at a discount, so it's not too big of a deal.

Best Paintball Fields in Dallas, Final Thoughts…

Paintball is a great way to get out, have fun, and spend time with friends. Whether you're looking for a new hobby or just need something to do on the weekend, paintball is a fun activity that's sure to please.

If you're in the Dallas area, there are plenty of places to play paintball. Here are five of our favorites:

  • If you want more of a challenge than just running around shooting at each other, try Ascend Paintball. It's got obstacles that make it harder to hide from your opponents but also make it easier to find them when they're hiding behind trees or rocks.
  • If you're looking for a smaller field that's easy on the wallet but still has all the amenities you need (including snacks!), Madddogz Paintball might be your best bet!
  • Paintball Fit is located just outside of Dallas but still within driving distance of many residents. It's an outdoor field that offers games for all players at all skill levels. They have plenty of equipment for rent and a large variety of obstacles for playing on.
  • DFW Adventure Park and Fun On The Run Paintball have multiple game types and plenty of space to play on, so you won't have any issues finding a spot where you feel comfortable playing.

Here are some helpful tips to make the most of your trip:

1. Make sure you bring enough paintballs and snacks. Nothing ruins the fun of a day at the field like running out of ammo before you can get back to base.

2. Bring a friend or two along with you—it's always more fun when you can share the experience with someone else!

3. Wear clothes that are comfortable and easy to move around in but still offer good protection.

There are a lot of factors that go into choosing a field—availability, price, safety standards, etc.—so make sure to do your research before making a decision about where you want to play!
