San Antonio, TX 78264
Ares Battlefield has more than 37 acres of fields and obstacles, including a large castle structure perfect for team battles. They also have various other game scenarios and props to keep things fresh and exciting every time you play.
The staff is super friendly and will help you get everything you need to have an amazing time. The refs are friendly and knowledgeable about safety rules and strategy tactics. They'll help you find the right gear for your level of experience.
They also have a large assortment of rental guns available for you to use on the field, so you don't have to worry about bringing yours. They offer several packages that include everything from basic equipment rentals to fully-customized packages that cater specifically to your group's needs.
18239 Bracken Dr,
San Antonio, TX
XFactor Paintball Park is located on the east side of town and has everything you need to make your day out at our field as fun as possible. We've got 18 different fields, each with its own unique design and layout, so there's always something new to try.
They have a variety of packages available for players who want to make the most out of their time here. You can opt for one of their field-paint only, tournament, or public play packages, including admission, paint, and safety gear for a single day at the park. You can upgrade your experience with add-ons like extra paintballs, protective vests, or gun barrels.
You can also rent out their facilities for your own private event or party. You can have your birthday party or organize an event for your company's office party for around $850 from Monday through Sunday.
The only drawback is that some customers reported their advertising on Groupon is misleading because it says that some equipment is included in the price of admission when in fact, paint and air aren't included.
20590 Bandera Rd,
Helotes, TX 78023
Located just outside of San Antonio, Predator Paintball Park is a great place for beginners and experienced players alike. With over 20 acres of playing space, they offer the best playing area of any paintball field in the area.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always willing to help you improve your game if you want some pointers. Their fields are all fully stocked with rental equipment. You can grab a gun, mask, or even a tank or hopper if you need it. They also have tons of paintballs available at the pro shop—they're all top-quality brands.
Depending on what kind of experience you want, they have different packages available: players can choose to bring their own gear or avail of their rental packages. They also have options for group play or private parties where everyone gets their own field space.
The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the guns—some said they were old and nasty and kept jamming! I'd definitely recommend bringing your own gun if possible—the rest of the experience is great!
13289 La Vernia Rd,
St Hedwig, TX 78152
Paintball Knights offer a variety of unique game modes that will keep your group engaged and entertained all day long. Whether you're a rookie or a seasoned vet, this field has something for everyone.
You can play any of their nine fields with plenty of space between each player to move freely without bumping into each other or getting in anyone else's way. If you're feeling competitive, there are also several tournaments you can participate in.
Paintball Knights also offer birthday parties for kids (and adults) where they can spend time with their friends while having fun playing games with new people who share their interests. Their staff has tons of experience dealing with injuries—they'll make sure that everyone has fun while staying safe.
15430 Interstate 35 Access Rd,
Von Ormy, TX 78073
At Charlie's Paintball, you can choose from various game modes and equipment packages to suit your needs. They have a large party pavilion where you can host your birthday or bachelor/bachelorette party.
The fields are great for close or far-range play–well-maintained and challenging for both beginners and experienced players alike. There are many tables and shade if you need to take a break from the sun.
They offer state-of-the-art equipment, well-trained staff, and a wide selection of gear. They have barbeque areas where you can bring your charcoal or wood and have a cookout. They also have restrooms available for your convenience.
Their fields are diverse, so there's something for everyone—even if you're new to the game or just want to try something new!
Dripping Springs, TX 78620
Austin Paintball is only an hour away from San Antonio, so it's perfect for anyone new to the sport or just looking for a fun time with friends. The field has plenty of parking, and it's very easy to get there from any part of town.
Multiple maps offer unique challenges for both new players and seasoned veterans alike. The wooded areas around each map create an immersive environment. The picnic table area was shaded for rest and eating after playing all day long.
The staff goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has fun and feels welcome. They're incredibly knowledgeable about paintball as well, which means they can answer any questions you have about what kind of equipment will work best for you.
The only downside I could think of was that they don't allow people to bring their own guns on site—but we're sure this policy is in place for safety reasons!
4701 Hilliard Rd,
San Marcos, TX 78666
Lost Paintball is the perfect place to start your paintball career for the young and first-timers. Their staff is friendly, the rules are simple and easy to follow, and the courses are awesome.
They've been updating their fields and adding new challenges to their gameplay—and they're open every weekend (rain or shine). You can play five different courses, each with its own challenge. The staff is very helpful in setting up everything needed to play: equipment rental (including masks), paintballs, food, and drinks.
The price is affordable for equipment and paintballs, especially considering how much quality they offer compared to other fields in San Antonio. They've got multiple woodball fields that make the terrain rocky—but it still makes for an entertaining game.
The only drawback is that the maps are scattered with rocks. You would trip once or twice every round on every map, but it adds to the fun! Bring your own face mask, too, because, as per other players, rentals were soaked with sweat and very stinky.
Paintball is a fun way to get out of the house and enjoy friendly competition with your friends. The San Antonio area has plenty of places to play, but we've rounded up our five favorites from the list:
If you're new to the game, here are some tips:
1. Paintballs hurt. Don't go into it thinking that it's just a game. Protect your face and neck with a mask and jersey.
2. Bring plenty of water and snacks—you'll be sweating more than you expect!
3. Remember to bring a towel or rag to wipe off those pesky splatters of paint.
It's time to go paintballing!
If you have questions or comments about the fields that I've highlighted here, I'd love to hear from you!
